Executives from the European Travel Commission (ETC), Air France-KLM and Delta Air Lines, today signed an agreement officially launching an integrated, multi-faceted commercial campaign, commencing in the first week of April to promote travel to Europe this summer. ETC has tagged Air France-KLM and Delta Air Lines as the official airlines for the massive campaign. The campaign has been connoted as ‘You and Europe’
The dollar currently weighs heavily against European currencies making the present time ideal for a snappy or prolonged tour of Europe. "The ETC's mission is to show the irresistible and unique appeal of Europe, and naturally we're very enthusiastic about launching this campaign with these leading airline partners as the official airlines of the ETC," remarked Jean-Philippe Perol, Chairman of the ETC.
The motive of the campaign is to poise Europe as in irresistible destination worthy of travel for anyone and everyone. Amricans who have a cherished affinity for Europe will be wooed by the extensive campaigning in print, radio, and television. The eclectic collection of romantic, historical, and cultural destinations make Europe a roll in the hay. The three carriers together, have the largest network across the Atlantic offering travelers the greatest connectivity and ease of travel in getting to their European destinations.
Air France Vice President Sales USA Bruno Georgelin said "Air France-KLM is excited to be a part of this fully integrated campaign focusing on the joy of traveling to Europe that will reach our target audiences at multiple points. The campaign successfully looks to highlight the benefits of associating with these airlines and the quality of the services they provide.
Even the renowned hotels are participating in the fiesta. They have slashed 30% off their original rates to make luxury accommodation, all the more, cherishable.
"We are thrilled to be a part of such an indigenous campaign highlighting the value and variety of destinations within Europe, especially since Delta is opening new US gateways and introducing nonstop flights to new European destinations this summer. We can't imagine any better partners than Air France, KLM and the ETC in enticing travelers to cross the pond,” expressed Gail Grimmett, Senior Vice President, NY for Delta.
To mark the alliance, the partners are handing out two pairs of tickets to Europe to the lucky ones. Winners will fly Delta or Air France roundtrip and spend four nights with breakfast in one of two Leading Hotels of the World. Details will be available at www.visiteurope.com from April 3.
